Charles E. White Scholarship

This scholarship is for a full-time, second year student in an associates degree program. This is for students going into the workforce after graduation.
Impact
From Warren County, North Carolina, Charles Edward White is a career educator who taught social studies in the public school system for 16 years, prior to joining Central Carolina Community College in 1984 as the Continuing Education Coordinator in Chatham County. Dr. White was later installed as the first provost at CCCC’s multipurpose campus – one of the first of its kind in the state. In 1996 he became the Academic Dean of all Vocational, Technical, and College Transfer programs at Catawba Valley Community College. He has a doctorate in educational administration and currently lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, Sharon Fox White. The White family wishes to honor Dr. White’s lifelong contributions to education through this scholarship award.
