Mrs. Torrella’s dream was to become a nurse. She had just start nursing school in New York when she passed away due to complications with the pregnancy of PJ, her second daughter in 1983. Mrs. Torrella’s daughter, Bettina Masschaele is a 2004 graduate of CFCC’s ADN Program. She started this scholarship to honor her mother’s dream and to help others achieve their dream of becoming a nurse. She understands first hand the challenges of working while going to school and the worry of how to pay for tuition. This scholarship is in honor of her mother and in support of ADN students like you.
