Walter Morales Grant 2023
Students who are on the path to become a star educator can apply now to the Walter Morales Grant for a chance to win a $3,000 grant and a $2,000 grant which will be awarded to 2 separate single students.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, student should be currently enrolled at a university in the United States, and studying education. Also eligible are high school seniors who are entering college and wish to become educators. The grant is further targeted to those students who have a passion for urban education and want to improve upon the urban education system.

We will award the scholarship based on an essay competition. We will select 2 winners based on a creative essay of under 1000 words which addresses the following:

“Discuss some of the biggest challenges/issues facing the urban education system, and how you would use your role as an educator to improve the urban education system.”
