NHCE-HHS Student Emergency Financial Support

New Hanover Community Endowment Emergency Financial Support for Students in Nursing and other Health Science programs. This fund is used for emergencies such as transportation, food insecurity and other emergencies that can cause a student to either stop out of their education or negatively impact their academics in order to be successful.

Awarded year round.

All students must speak to the HHS Student Success Navigator.

Funding to support Health Science Students in preparation for exams and to defray the costs of such exams for those students demonstrating need. Required standardized testing including but not limited to TEAS, GRE, SAT, etc.
GPA must be equal to or higher than 2.0.
Student must show financial need – Financial need is based on the FAFSA form.

Students must be currently enrolled in one of the following programs:
ADN
Cardiovascular Sonography
Dental Assisting
Dental Hygiene
Health & Fitness Science
Healthcare Business Informatics
Human Services Technology
LPN-to-RN
Medical Assisting
Medical Laboratory Technology
Medical Office Administration
Medical Sonography
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Pharmacy Technology
Practical Nursing
Radiography
Surgical Technology
